5. [MOHOWARD-L] COLDEN WILLIAMS and MARY SHORT questions [1]
These are non-Howard County questions, but do pertain to eventual Howard Countians and this list has the BEST researchers on this line! Madison County was still part of Virginia in 1787. Colden was in NC in 1782 and in Lancaster County, SC in 1790. What was he doing in Madison county in 1787? MARY SHORT is sai

Hi Folks, I've have several emails from fellow listers, asking why they are getting double postings of my Higbee News articles. The answer is, if you are subscribed to both the Howard and Randolph county email lists, you will get two copies, one from each list, because I post to both lists. I do this because the paper covers both counties. If you want to save a little time, when my posts come through, just check the subject line, and choose which county list you want to read, and delete the other en

My original information came only on one sheet someone sent me (that was before I knew enought to demand sources - and I still have some problems there). Most turned out to be correct and so I accepted the rest that I could not check.
