Hi Richard, The file numbers were place by the Circuit Court. No Charlotte Johnson listed but Charlotte Johnston's file number is 255. You have several options for obtaining Jefferson County Probate records either in person or by mail: Jefferson County History Center, Jefferson College Library, Hillsboro, Mo.: The original files are archived here. There is an index online and contact information to make requests. They only have the manpower to retrieve the document. Contact Cindy Christopher at 636-789-3

The Digital Library at the University of Mo. has Missouri Plat Books online. Their website is http://digital.library.umsystem.edu/. With the Land description you have I found it very easily. It is part of Meremac township and is in the section just south of House Springs and according to the 1995 plat map Dulin Creek Road runs along the east side of the land. Maybe someone who is researching the Bird line might be more helpful, but on the 1880 Census for Jefferson County, there is a Benjamin B. Bird, age 18, son of James L. & Rachel, that is the only B. B. Bird on the 1880 census. you might want to check to see if there was a coroner's report, which might give his full name. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sharon Hobart To: mojeffer-l@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, January 25, 2008 3:29
