We have info that John Herman Hess died in a Gov't hospital in Higginsville in 1937. Is their such a place. My family has searched for this individual for years. We don't know parents or sieblings. In my query of 3-1-03, I listed the incorrect name for the male child of L. E. DUFFEY & Anna DUFFEY. The correct name is Francis James DUFFEY. It is this child for whom I wish to locate the death record. Death occured between 1875 & before 1880 cenus was taken. Thanks in advance.

My ancestors William Brown and his father John W. Brown are also listed on the census records as New Freedom township. The family lived in the area till the 1930's. It was located near Higginsville. I believe it was more a platt map designation then an actual town. I located land records for them through Laf
