I never thought to ask if the Montgomery City Standard Newspaper still exists, or even if these records are still available. Sometimes your hopes are raised when you see a listing, and you assume the materials are still available even though the many years have passed.

Ah, did find something else. The cemetery records at the library showed two Joseph Moores. One in Wellsville Cemetery and dates on it say 3-21-1896....age 58 yr 6 mnths and 28 days....son R. Lincoln. cemetary number is 005 ...sec 34... 50 township...6W range.

My great grand father, Joseph M Moore, was in that area of Montgomery County, He was born in the 1840's. However, we can find little info on him prior to the 1850's. He married a Mary Elizebeth Johnson. Have you seen any reference to a Joseph in that time frame?

William Lowry Livingston married Mary Catherine Moore, born in 1842 in Monroe Co., MO. She was the daughter of Rufus Moore and Mary Van Noy. Hope this helps. Thanks, Pat
My inquiry of June 10, 2002, asked the burial location for Mary Ann Smith.
It has now been determined from her death certificate that she is buried in
the Gregory Cemetery. She died January 21, 1927, at the age of 90 years, 23
days; burial January 22, 1927. Informant: Mrs. Robert L. Cole [daughter],
