1. Re: [MOSER] Re: evidence for Lieser, Moser marriage [1]
I think you may have explained the problem - Lieser isn't the same family as Loescher. This will require further research, of course. I hope to work on the Moser line over the summer, I will post any significant findings. Thanks for responding, you have been helpful. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bailey Francis" To: Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2003 11:23 AM Subject: RE: [MOSER] Re: evidence for Lieser, Moser marriage > > Message: There was

He fits the age bracket of Abram MOSER, age 70-80, who was in the 1830 Anderson County, TN census. This Abraham married Veronica D. LIESER. Doris, Two things: 1) By replying only here to the list, the person to whom your message is addressed will never see it. 2) Because of the commercial nature of the post, I had to delete it. Yes, selling a book for some amount counts as a commercial post. Normally I would tell you to post your reply on the board, but that is neither possible nor desireable this time. Instead you will need to contact the person who posted that message directly via their e-mail address -- jecabe@lycos.com. I have snippe

Hi Bruce, Can you tell us more about Samuel's surname? How was it spelled during the 1800's, including how the spelling changed from the early 1800's to the late 1800's. Spelling was horrible back in the 1700's. Frequently they were attempts to spell non English surnames is English. As more people learned to read and write, the names became more recognizable. It was not unusual to find a variety of spellings for any surname. I can't even guess what Kookogey, etc. evolved to, or even what language it is fro
