Hi, I also have Kennedys in my family tree. My paternal grandfather, my father's biological father, was Hulen "Newt" Kennedy of Leake County, MS. Hulen's father, my great-grandfather, was Albert Kennedy. Albert was born about 1853 in Scott County, MS to a mulatto slave, Lucy Kennedy Cherry, and her enslaver, Stephen Kennedy. Stephen had transported Lucy and her brothers, Ben and Augustus (Gus) Kennedy, to Scott County, MS in 1849 from Alabama.
Who are your Kennedys?
