Do you have a Young McDonald or Manson McDonald in your line? Manson McDonald was Young's father or uncle. They were from SC before coming to Amite. Passports of Southeaster Pioneers, 1770-1823, by Dorothy Williams Potter - MANSON MCDONALD mentioned on pg. 283, traveling with "his wife and five children - his three Sisters in law with their two children, all from Sumpter District, S.Carolina."
