I just noticed Matilda J. Masengale, in the household of Henry Masengale in July 1970 was 9/12 years old making her birth in Oct or Nov 1869.
Mary Matilda J. Masengale who married George W. Young is listed on the 1900 census as being born Feb. 1874 Age 26 and 1910 as age 36.

I neglected to say you have to type in the roll #, when viewing the 1880 census images on Heritage Quest Find By Page Number feature.
For HS Massengale, click on 1880 (T9), type in roll # 0659, page 616.
Notice JB Ponder family, wife Virginia, stepson Seborn Young age 14 is a neighbor.
