The May meeting of the
Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Inc Worcester Chapter will be held on TUESDAY
(evening), May 12th in the Merriam
Room at the Auburn Public Library which is located at 369 Southbridge Street
(Rte 12) in Auburn, Massachusetts. Shake
off the winter blahs by spending some time with friends and revving up your
genealogy skills.

The New Hampshire Union Leader has been very supportive of NERGC and the
organizations that make it up. They have arranged for a special vendor and
friends of genealogy advertising section. This section is for people to
buy ads in support of the organizations that comprise NERGC. Along with the
ads will be special editorial content about the conference.

Not attending NERGC this year? You can still participate!!
As part of the New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC), there
will be a silent auction. A system has been created to accept bids via
email for those interested who cannot be there in person. There will be
separate auctions on Friday (4/24/09) and Saturday (4/25/09).
Some of the items being auctioned off include a terrific variety of
genealogy books, several Ancestry.com World Deluxe Membership, research
services at the Family His

Janis Duffy, Reference Supervisor at the MA State Archives will be
speaking at the Lawrence History Center, Lawrence,MA, Tuesday, May 5,
2009.
At 6:30pm, refreshments will be served. Ms. Duffy will begin her
talk at 7:00pm. She will focus on the Records that the MA State
Archives hold, especially those that help genealogical researchers,
such as Vital Records, Census Records, Passenger Lists, etc.
