I am researching the Higginbothams. Seaborn and Nancy Caroline Waldrop Higginbotham. Nancy Caroline Waldrop was the daughter of Rev. Green Berry and Elizabeth Waldrop. Nancy was born in Georgia. She live in Harris and Muscogee County, Georgia. Nancy left Georgia in 1840 with her family and moved to Pontotoc, Mississippi. Later they move to Elm Grove , now call Cold Water, Mississippi. Then called DeSoto County now call Tate County. Nancy and family are buried in Evansen Cemetery in Coldwater, Miss

Peggy, I am looking for all the information I can find about these Wait/Waite's and Scott's. Thomas Wait was there in the 1850 census with a large family. He was the brother of my Virginia Wait. Their mother, Sarah Waite, born about 1780-1795 NC or VA, was there somewhere, but does not show up in the census until 1870 living with Virginia Scott and children in Lafayette County. There was also a Gilliam/Gillum/Gillam Scott born 1809 living in the area some of the time that may be related. It has be
