2. [MSSCOTT] Sawmills and Logging Railroads [1]
Hi folks! I am currently researching the many sawmills and logging railroads that existed in Scott Co. from 1880's until the 1940's. I hope that maybe someone on this list can help me. I am looking for photographs of any of these sawmills, log trains, logging camps, or people that may have worked for any of these large lumber companies. I would love to find anyone who might have worked for one of these companies, but that is becoming quite difficult to do at this late date. I am particularly interested in

Is anyone working on either of these lines? Peter W. Peagler and his wife, Martha Jane __?____Measels Peagler lived in Scott Co after relocating from Rankin Co sometime before 1880. She was born in WV. Does anyone know her maiden name? When she died and where she is buried? If her first husband was Thomas Measels from Goose Creek parish in SC? Thanks! Georgia Walsh
