Since she is the biological mother she was refused a death certificate copy but when they sent the refusal back it stated ---

Hi folks,
Just a note to announce that I am now the Warren County CC. The site became available and I jumped on it! There is so much history in Warren I was ashamed to see it so neglected!
Please visit and let me have your comments, suggestions and CONTRIBUTIONS!

Hi Ann,
Congratulations on your quick response.
My ancestors were born in Vicksburg-Warren County, MS:
GG-Mother Martha Thomas b.abt 1850 d.1927 mother/father unknown
GG-Father Aaron Nailor ?
16+children
Other Surnames: Rice, Watson, Stately, Anderson, Amos, Deal, and Davis just to name a few.
I plan to pay a visit there next year for further study.
God Bless, see you online,

Regarding the Vick families, do you have any information on a VICK (probably a son of Newit Vick's son) who married any NEWMAN girls? I'm trying to make a connection.
Many thanks.

I have some Davis family from Eagle Lake in the late 1800s, about the time
the 1890 census burned. They came there from Benton (Calhoun) Co. AL then moved
on to West Carroll Parish, LA.

Happy to have the address of this site. I had ancestors in Vicksburg for many
years.
I wonder if you could recommend or put me in touch with someone who would be
willing to check some old newspapers for me. I would be very happy to pay for
this help.
Thanks,

Try the Vicksburg Library. I understand they have a lot of them on microfilm there!

I suggest you spend the fee to get an actual copy of the birth certificate
from the MS Depart of Health, since you have the number. Then the
information on it should be of invaluable assistance to you.
Happy Hunting!
