Hello
Well, I'm going to toss my Alexander Murphy into the mix, and hope
somebody might see something.
So here goes. Alexander Murphy born 1830, Richland County Ohio,
(According to his death certificate) He is buried in Yates City, Knox County,
Illinois Cemetery with his wife Elizabeth. (Also according to his death
certificate) His name is on the head stone, but not his dates of birth or
death. I am a descendant of their son James Murphy and Mary Virginia who
resided in Douglas Illinois.
Beverly,
Sure, I will put them on the Murphey diskette that you sent me some time ago
and thanks.

Nancy,
He would be a candidate. My William was born in Caswell in 1809 and married
his first wife Mildred Kendrick there in 1830. This William also seemed to
have a relationship with a Jonathon Murphey as they witnessed each others
marriage

Hi Again Folks: Although Kentucky is not my primary area of research, I have accumulated 54 pages of research taken from Kentucky records. It is available to anyone who'd like to see it by attachment. It is a Word document and the data is sorted by county.
I cannot take credit for doing all the research. I simply save research data (not queries) that others post. Sometimes by adding bits and pieces at a time, something substantial starts to form which might be of help to one of us.
How about if we al
Don't worry, attachments will never make it to the list. They are
automatically filtered out.

Several months ago I had hoped that those of us researching Archibald and Alexander Murph(e)ys could get together and share all the research we had accumulated to see what ties could be made. Unfortunately I was ill for several months and unable to follow up.
I'm back to my old chubby self and trying to figure out if the Alexander Murphey of my line -- being the one born in York PA, later migrating to Caswell NC with his brothers and ultimately migrating to Kentucky and probably dying there -- was the sam

I'm on a roll now . . . I was just reminded by Janet (on our list) that there was an Archibald Murphy in York PA in the 1750's. I researched that Archibald a while back and discovered his will probated in New Castle DE.
Anyone wanting the Delaware records I've compiled, again just give me a holler at bwhite@freeway.net
And more importantly . . . if anyone can add to the records already compiled, it would be appreciated if they are posted. Thanks.

Some Knox County Marriages: Alexander Murphy to Margaret Johnston on 20 Jun 1827 (or 1829) by Wm. T. Senter. Hugh M. Murphy, bm.

Hi Rich: I think the best we can all do is share what research we've done
and hope that one of us finds a clue that was overlooked. In following up
on Alexander Murphey, all we have to start with is a repetition of family
names and trying to build a trail from the records. Once we compile the
records already covered, we can then see what direction needs to be taken.
Do you need my Greene TN and Russell VA attachments?

I apologize for attachments sent to the list. I hit "reply" when answering

Rick, Pardon me, but which county was home to your William Murphy?

Hello
I am interested in anyone who might have information on the Alexander
Murphy who married Eliziabeth Sturts November 15, 1864 in Richland Co. Ohio.
(See notes below). There was a Alexander Murphy listed as being 53 years of
age in Highland County, Ohio that I am also interested in. Notes: There was a
marriage record in the Richland County, Ohio Marriages 1813-1871 (p. 275)
between Alexander Murphy and Elziabeth Sturts on Nov. 15, 1854 (Vol. 7, page
18).
