Does anyone have an Ann (maybe JUNKINS) b. 1822 in PA and William
Murphy b. 1821 in Maryland. William was a blacksmith and may have
died before 1860 (not in the 1860 census living with Ann and
children)
Children.
Josiah b. abt. 1841
John H. b. abt. 1843
William H. b. July 1852 ( in the 1860 MD census)
All were born in Maryland except Ann.
Thanks, Pat
I am very interested in Hugh MURPHY. In my research around late 1700s, I
have found 2 Hugh MURPHYs from Frederick Co to Hampshire Co.
Do you have a James MURPHY (Rev War) in your records?
I am descent from Hugh and Nellie MURPHY and James and Mary MURPHY, same
era. Both were large land holders in Hampshire Co VA/WV. I found info on
both in Loudon Co and Alexandria, thus believe they were connected to
northern VA.
The records of Hampshire Co also have Wm MURPHY in late 1700s.

Need some help on finding a Thomas BALL, Jr. who was born
in Maysville, KY in the 1880s. He was the son of Thomas and
Mary Frances BALL of the same. Tom was listed in his
father's obit in 1929 as living in Milwaukee. Therefore, I
believe he may be listed in the 1920 Wiscousin Census.

Looking for children information on John MURPHY b. ABT 1755 who married Mary (Polly) Yarbrough 14 Jul 1795. Believed John migrated from South Carolina in 1779 to Garrard County KY. Believe John and Mary had twelve children. Believe three of the children's names were James b. 25 Dec 1799, Hardin b. 1820, and John. Does anyone have any further info on this family? I believe John's son, John is my G3 Grandfather who married a Susannah STINNETT 15 Aug 1821. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The preeminent Franklin Co. NC(et al.) historian, Dr. Stephen E.
Bradley, Jr. has graciously consented to letting me post excerpts from
his wonderful books to my website. Though these are mostly
Murphy(r)(ey) related, there are other associated names of interest.
I'll be posting these over the next few weeks.

Hi Mark,
I am indeed interested in Murphy/ Hight (or Hite) families of VA in
early 1700's. I am trying to locate information on a family, possibly
Richard Murphy (or a William Murphy or Murfee and wife Anne). I believe
this Richard may be a son of Hugh Murphy, a wealthy land owner of Dublin
Ireland. Richard may have come to America with the Irish emigration of
1737-1740 and settled on land patented to John Hite in Fredericks county
VA. What information do you have on the Murphy or Hight lines in Sussex

As much as I agree that the situation with the Message Boards is a mess,
this forum is not the place to discuss it.
Visit the boards, make your own decision. If you don't like them, write to
the owners, not here.
My problem with this is today it's the message boards and all the
commercialism now around them. Tomorrow it's going to be our
lists. Remember we are all to blame that Rootsweb got bought up. If all

I've been looking for my grandmother Annie (Ada) Murphy for 30 years
now. My father was born in 1909 in Woolwich so I've been putting forth my
efforts in England but can't find any marriage records there of her married
to William Allen.
I'm wondering if she came from a different country. Her birth date would
be abt. 1890 I'm assuming. I don't know if my father was the eldest or
youngest. He had a brother and 1 sister.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much . . . Bella Christensen
