Here's a recent article on Greenhill Cemetery located here in Greensboro, NC. While I agree with those who say the cemetery is deteriorating (by the way, Maplewood is in worse condition), if they are truly interested in ensuring rehabilitation and preservation they should consider applying for a public or private grant for doing so or work with the local genealogical association in such efforts. I am still on the hunt for the African American Edwards cemetery. I found the white family for which they had worked near Stallings Rd. and Edgewood Church Rd in Edgecombe (They are also Edwards) and was told they are nearby. According to another ancestry member one would find:

I contacted a friend of mine who published a 5 volume set of surveys of burials of cemeteries in Forsyth County back in the 1970s, and she did not have it listed. Of course, there could be a Newsome (NEWSOM) cemetery in the area you mentioned but was not found due to being hidden

You can call the Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro. They conducted a burial for Joseph Henry Corbett at the Corbett Family Cemetery in 1969. Perhaps they have records of the location.
