Listmembers, I hope this is not an inappropriate question to pose to this list? I have somehow acquired two sources of census information used to cite the Duplin Co., NC Mortality Schedule of 1850, death of Sarah WEST. Yes, I do have the 1860 for Cherokee Co. That is where I found that quite a few of them were born in Madison County. Will have to keep checking. Looking for the family of James and Polly BROWN in Madison County NC in 1850. James was born about 1815 and Polly about 1819. They should have had at least part of the following children with them: Harrison b. abt 1842 John abt 1843 Rufina abt 1844 James or Jim abt 1845 and possibly David abt 1849 Thanks again to all the people who keep this list going with their lookup for those of us who are *census image poor*.
