Dear List Members,
If you were effected by the Comcast buy out, then you need to read this,
if not delete it.
Just this evening, I have receive over 100 requests for me to change
e-mail address to a Comcast address. Many of these requests mention
multiple lists of which the sender needs their e-mail address
changed. It will take me a good week or so to get through them all.
My suggestion is;
If you still have the ability to unsubscribe go to PASSWORD Central at

Dear List Members,
It is that time of year when some of you will be leaving on Vacations.
You might want to consider unsubscribing from the list while you are
gone and then resubscribing when you return.
The easiest way to do this is by using Password Central.
http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ Follow the instructions and you
will receive a e-mail list of all Rootsweb Mailing Lists you belong to.
You can unsubscribe using this e-mail. Save it and you then have a list
of mailing lists you want to re-su

Dear List Members,
If you have posted a message to the list today, November 18th, and have
not seen it come through to the list, you will need to re-post it.
Rootsweb was down today and all messages posted during the last 12 hours
have been lost.
I am sorry for this, but the problem has been fixed and we are now back
to normal.

Dear List Members
We are experiencing another outbreak of the BADTRANS worm, computer
virus.
I've received over 25 messages with it myself this weekend.
The subject line will be varied but the infected attachments have a
double extension, for example .doc.pif or .doc.scr You can go to
http://www.antivirus.com/vinfo/ or http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/
to obtain more information.
Please keep your anti virus software updated and DO NOT download
unexpected attachments no matter who they are from or ho
Dear List Members, maybe it is the holidays coming, but I am getting
many many requests each day to unsubscribe members. I don't mind helping
when you are having a problem unsubscribing yourself, but before you
send a message to me to unsubscribe you please try the following first:
1. send only the word UNSUBSCRIBE NAME-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM or

This Morning I informed you of a concern we all should have regarding protecting
ourselves against BADTRANS worm, computer virus..
I would like to ask you now if you have any additional comments regarding the
subject, you send them to me personally. KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. Please do
not post the names of those you feel you have received infected postings from or
their e-mail address.
If you received an infected posting from a member of any of the lists I take care
of, most likely I did too and I
Hamlin R. Collins died after 1880 and would have been buried in Halifax Co. I know there are lots of cemeteries, but I think he would have been buried around Weldon, Roanoke Rapids or Auerilian Springs.
When I grew up, I lived about three miles from Roanoke Rapids on the Littleton Highway, Rte 158, at the Zoo Crossroad. I lived about a country block from Rte 158 and behind me was an acre of land set aside by my grandfather for a cemetery. I mostly remember blacks being buried there. When I went back to
If you don't get the answer you are looking for, most likely no one on
the list has it. May I suggest you keep trying. We have new members
joining all the time.

I live in Beaufort County NC and my genealogy society has researched the cemeteries in my area and the cemeteries have been catalogued and placed in our library. Is there a library in North Carolina that might have books on cemeteries?
I appreciate your help.

Dear List Members,
Here it is the end September and time for the Third Quarterly Report for
2001. This past month has been a difficult time for all of us, but we
made it through it and each of us are trying to get back to normal, or
as normal as we can again. Part of that getting back to normal is our
quarterly reports. Again, for your information, the NC-NORTH-CEMETERIES
Mailing List has 41 members, 30 on the Regular list and there are 11
members on the Digest List.

I ran across this site this last week and thought some of you might find
it helpful in locating a site that will help you with your genealogical
research.

Would someone please check the cemeteries in Kittrell, Vance County, NC
for:
Mary Ann (FLOYD) RADCLIFF
b. abt. 1824, d. abt. July, 1911
Martha "Patsy" (ROGERS) FLOYD - mother of Mary Ann (above)
b. 1804, d. after 1880 census
It is possible, but doubtful, that Mary Ann and Patsy could have been
buried in Wilmington, NC, where their husbands are buried: William
RADCLIFF and Lewis FLOYD.
Thank you so much. Your work is really appreciated.

Please check the NC cemeteries in Aurelian Springs, NC, for Ransom Michael SHEARIN, b. 1793 and d. 1867 & Mary S. SHEARIN, b. 1/25/1826 and d. 3/9/1905.
Thank you

Dear List Members,
The First Quarterly Report for 2002 is going to be just a little
different than the one I usually send to the Mailing Lists I take care
of.
I tore my Rotator Cuff in November of last year and I find that I
cannot spend long hours typing on the computer during the healing
process, therefore I am going to send out one message to all of my lists
and skip posting the membership numbers this time. I promise to get
back to our normal reporting next quarter. Typing over 200 messages is
just
