Hello Everyone
Just a note to let you know that if you attempted to

If you will go to the Pasquotank Co. NC site at
and scroll down until you
see a list of resources, you will find that "Susan Lilly has offered to
do lookups". I understand that she has written a book on the subject of
cemeteries in Pasquotank Co. so this looks like a good source. I don't
know if she is volunteering or if there is a fee, but if you can't get
to Elizabeth City in person, this might work for you.
Good luck with your search.

Hello all! I'm a relative newbie to genealogy, and I'm looking for general information on those with the surname O'NEAL from the Johnston County area (specifically Selma and thereabouts). I'm also looking to make contact with MADRY relatives from the Scotland Neck area; my great-grandfather was James Guthrie MADRY, and while I can't remember his father's name at the moment, his mother was Felicia JOYNER.
I do have a specific brick wall that I can't seem to get over: My maternal grandfather's name was Jo

Hello, I am a new subscriber to this mailing list.
I am trying to trace the ancestors of my great grandfather, Willis Shaw,
who was born in Williamson Co., TN (1818), married in Tallahatchie Co.,
MS (1847) and died in Tallahatchie Co., MS (1882).
Because he declared in the 1880 census that both his parents were born
in NC, I assembled the following list of NC marriages that occurred
during the right time period. One of these unions may be Willis Shaw's
parents/grandparents.
