I am related to the Hughes Family of Cranberry, North Carolina. My father's name was Bert Hughes (listed on the 1920 census record as "Kid" , age 6, daugther), Married Mary Virginia Saul. His siblings are Parker (disappeared and was never heard from before my parents were married in 1
I am looking for information on both of my parents decendents. My mother, Leona Johnson, was born in Crossnore, NC 3/5/22. Her parents were Ivory Johnson & Nane (Cuthbertson) Johnson. My father, Carl J Franklin, was born in Jonas Ridge, NC 12/25/18. His parents were Virgil Franklin & Hattie (Burleson) Franklin. My mother's grandmother was said to be part Cherokee and there's supposedly Indian blood on my father's side too. I'd love to know anything at all.

Macy Elizabeth BARE
Macy Elizabeth Bare, age 112, of Elk Park, NC died Friday, September 6, 2002
in a Linville hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Avery County, she was born October 15,
1889, to the late Joe and Rosie Oaks Turbyfill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bare; and two daughters, Jean
Adams and Alma May Bare.
She was a homemaker and attended the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Edna Oaks of Roan
