10. Civil War Burials... [1]
Some time ago I saw a reference that some of the CSA soldiers who were captured at Fort Fisher, January 15, 1865, were being transported to Point Lookout, Maryland, via way of Morehead City. Those that perished on the train between Wilmington and Morehead City were removed and buried in Morehead City. Does anyone have know enough about this to comment? This is the first I have heard of this action. My interest; I have kin, four brothers, who fought and were captured at Fort Fisher. Three of them turned up a
