He was born about 1854 in Burke County, NC, son of Hugh Erwin and Mary Wilson. He married Fannie E. Barger 29 March 1877 in Catawba County. Fannie was born about 1862, daugh
I worked on this family quite a bit in 2001 including the same material
referenced in the message below.
Henry Kohler was alive 6 April 1796 when he signed an I.O.U. with his
German signature. The "o" in his signature carries an umlaut.
He was deceased before April Court 1797. Henry's widow Catherine
survived him. She probably died around 1813 when the children were
executing deeds on Henry's land.
The known children of Henry Kahler/Kaylor were:

I believe that Fannie was the daughter of Maxwell William Barger, son of Simeon. Simeon was b. 1806, Fannie was b. 1860.
Fannie married Maxwell Ervin/Erwin, 29 March 1877, Catawba County [by J.H. Bruns.J.P.; Witnesses: David Pitts, Simeon Barger, M.S. Arney].
Looking for additional information on gggggrandfather Abraham BARGER reportedly married Mary Polly Bowling/Bolling. Their daughter md. Howell Polk Brewer of Hawins County TN.

show that particular marriage. I have 28 William Herman's in my database;
it was popular Herman name for a while, but I do not show any of them
married to a Kaylor. I also checked Derick's and Wayne's web sites and they
don't show it as well.
The only Kaylor / Herman marriage I have is for Elizabeth Herman (Wilhelm's
GDaughter through George) who married Henry Kaylor, but he's the 1793 Henry
