I'm still cleaning up my files and still finding questions partially because
people had the same names.
I have one Johan Adam Bolch, son of the pioneer, as being married to
Christina Huffman.
And I have another Adam Johan, also a son of the pioneer, (this has to be a
mistake in my filing) as being married to Elizabeth Mauser.
My questions:
Which is the son of the pioneer and which lady is his wife?
And who is the other and who are his parents.
Housekeeping is so tedious but necessary.

I have a memory of a small plane crashing outside of Maiden when I was a
young child in the late 1950's or early 1960's. In my memories of the event my
grandmother and I walked in the fields behind my mother's house to see where
the planed crashed but I don't remember seeing the actual plane. The fields
would be where the JA Abernethy Plant of Carolina Mills now stands off of the
old hwy 321. At that time the land was farmed by Zeb Haynes and his father
whom we called Pappy.
Another memory I

Percedia, sometimes spelled P'sadie, may have been the daughter of David

She married Leander Sidney Bost of Catawba Co., April 16, 1852. He fought

She was born in Lincoln/Catawba County in 1808 and died there May 18, 1858.
I have two husbands listed for her:

Henry Cloninger.
Which of these is correct?

Hi Greg,
The thought just dawned on me that Litton Creek may have been swallowed up
by Lake Norman. I don't know how much you know about Catawba County and
adjoining counties, but in the early 1960's our local electric company
created a lake. The Catawba River is a primary source of the lake.
Considerable land was flooded and that could have swallowed up Litton Creek.
That may be an explanation for why it does not appear on a current map.
May I ask if you are in the military or living in Germany temporar

I have the following children listed for him and Christina:

Sarah C. Setser, born Oct 8, 1849, in Macon County NC. She was the daughter of
John R. Setser, born 1810, and Berthene Holland Setser, his second wife. She
never married and died sometime before August of 1899.
On the other hand, Sarah Edwards, born Dec 15, 1839, in Macon County NC,
married William Alexander Setser, son of John R. Setser and his first wife, Ann
Clark. They were married for only a few short years before he d
Thanks Betty for your input. I have a hand-drawn map that shows Litton Creek
branching off from Terrapin Creek. The cartographer seems to be a Howard
Edwards. I found it in the Catawba County Historical Association library.
However, I haven't been able to find Litton Creek on any present-day map.
Germany is cold and rainy right now, but I like it here. Thanks again,
Betty!

I am looking for information on a FAnnie DRUM born 1899 and died 1992 in Catawba County.
She married a DRUM, a first cousin, possible a Ross DRUM.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Who is the husband of Elizabeth Bolch daughter of Adam and Christina, the
original pioneers?
My data is confusing. I have her married to Solomon Bolch, but it was
Elizabeth, daughter of John and his wife Christine who married Solomon Bolch who
was a son of Casper and Maria Deal Bolch. Is this right.
