Am looking for information on Elijah Davidson, who I believe was born in Davidson County NC, on or about 1800. He travelled to Oregon in 1830's as a fur trapper and sent for his brother and wife who came to Oregon in 1840's by wagon train to settle. Do not know parents of Elijah or what exact area they are from.

Hi Brian,
Does either one of those Clinard family's have a Prudy living with them ? If so, then that will be the one.
Do you have anything on a Juluis A. Darr b. 8-22-1860 d. 4-

Thanks for your reply, did you really get hit by lightening?!? Glad you're back, maybe we crack this mystery, those Smith's can't have materialized out of this air. I was always told that my bunch came from near Dusseldorf, but I really suspect this area that you mentioned in your earlier message. Was it Rheinland-Pfalz Palinate/ Prussia? Need to sharpen up on my historical Geography. Hope you're feeling better.

You seem to have a lot of information on Davidson County Smith's. I'm researching Frederick Smith who married Alitia Epps and then Martha Epps. His father was also named Frederick Smith he was married to Anne or Anna. On the 1850 Davidson Co. Census they are listed living next to each other. I don't really have proof that Fred Sr. is Fred Jrs. father and I'm trying to piece together all the children of Fred Sr. and go back from there. Do you know these names? Or do you know anyone that has more inform
I am working on the Minor genealogy. My great-great-grandfather was John Minor who married Martha Yarborough and lived in Davidson County and Davie County. Their son Zerrell was my great-grandfather, and his son, John, was my grandfather.
I located the book entitled The Heritage of Davidson Co, 1982, published by the Genealogical Society of Davidson County. It says that Paschal Minor married Polly Helmstetler and had 15 children. One was John, and I believe this to be my line.

On the back of this copy it says from Rowen County Wills 1743-1868. Dept. of Archives and History Raleigh, NC. From Records in its archives. Can you contact me via my e-mail at adpowers@gate.net. I will try to scan it in and send it to you as an attachment, but I don't know if it will work. Prue,
Thanks for your post. It is possible that one of our Perryman's may have traveled to Australia, although I have not heard of any doing so.
Your link to the Instow area of Devon, England is a valuable hint for me and my real cousins and "cousins" who are researching John Perryman of North Carolina and Indiana. Thank you very much.
