There are 44+ of these books and am only on Book 26. At this point it is taking about 20 hours per book to transcribe, type, double check and then double check against the grantee book. 9. NARA Fees [1]
I am forwarding this from another list. I reckon you had better get your requests in now to avoid the tripling (spelling?) of the price. The same data you get now on pension records over 75 years old will rise to to 14.50 minimum (10 sheets with basic data) with a cap of 37.50 (everything in the file) according to a price list I saw at NARA today. Paper copies (11x17) will double in price, .50 from .25 per sheet. Someone has to pay for the tax reductions and it looks like we have been nominated!
