Jason,
I wish I could help you, but there is absolutely nothing in the 13 books
that I have right now. A lot more were promised for delivery this week, so
perhaps we'll have better luck with that bunch. I tried every name with
every possible spelling variation and came up empty-handed. I'll keep your
information and look again as soon as I get more books.

I understand what you are saying; however, if you are referring to Dee
(as I suspect), the information that she furnishes other individuals may
(and has) been helpful to other list subscribers.....so what's your REAL
issue?

Judy,
I'm so sorry that it took me so long to reply. There is no Gregory Hall
listed. The only entry with an initial "G" is Albert G. Hall and he is not
cross-referenced in any other Hall Will. In the Duplin Abstracts there is
not an initial "G" or a Gregory.

Hi.
Does anyone have access to the 1810 and 1820 census that would be
willing to look up two people for me. William Thomas and Gregory Thomas,
father and son.
I have page numbers:
1810
Gregory Thomas page 30
William Thomas page 32
1820
Gregory Thomas page 186
William Thomas page 166
I believe that William, the father is living in Gregory's household. So
it's possible that the William above is not who I'm looking for.
Thanks so much!
Judy

William Fletcher Pearsall was born circa 1836 in Duplin Co, NC. He
supposedly married Cordelia Ann Faison, but have been unable to verify. The
1870 census of Duplin reflects William Pearsall, age 34 and Cornelia

Hi,
I signed up for the list in hope of finding some little tid bit of
information about my Flowers, or Newcombs, or who ever. I have read every
word but nothing has come across about them, but I so enjoyed the enthusiasm
and excitement of the postings of Dee. Thinking of how happy she was making
people. It is a loss to not see that any more. If she had not mention where
she was getting the information and just took all the credit she would not
have to endure the flack now. But she was just an h
I am looking for a person in Duplin County that is buried in Pinecrest Cemetery in Warsaw. All I know is that there is a footstone in the Ezzell plot that has M. E. CSA. If any one has any idea who this man is I would appreciate the information. My husband is compiling a list of all known Confederates from Duplin County and would love to honor this man by including him on the list.

The Atlanta Journal and Constitution had a large article on this in last

have it.

Hello everyone,
I am still looking for relatives of WALTER MATHIS of Color. I did find out my
great grandmother's name was Laura Mathis of Rose Hill or Teacheys, NC. How
would I find out who her parent's were? My grandpa Walter Mathis was born in
1896 in Duplin County. He moved to Sampson Co. and married Lottie E. McLamb
in 1916. He died in 1982 and my grandmother died in 1978 in Wayne Co. and
both were buried in the Edgar Mclamb Cemetery in the Keener Community,
Clinton, NC. She at least 2 sisters: A
Hello List!
The information I had asked Dee to look up for me was not contained in
any of the books she has. I would not be willing to purchase a book for
$30.00, sight unseen, with the hopes that it MIGHT have one person I am
researching. So the statement that the Societies and authors are loosing
money in sales because of Dee's look ups, is without merit. Quite the
contrary, in my opinion. If the results had been opposite, it would be a
book that I would gladly purchase, knowing it held so much informati

A deed from "Zebedie" & James Swinson to Maxey A. Manning executed in
1866 revealed their father to be Zebedee Swinson. James, identified as
"of Onslon County", is my 2nd ggrandfather (b. abt. 1804 d. ?).
"Zebidie", his brother, was born abt. 1810 according to the 1850 Census.
Has anyone run across a Zebedee Swinson prior to 1800 in Duplin? I've
seen some info that he was born abt. 1779, but have yet to confirm it.
I'm trying to locate any documentation that may shed some light on

If I have read it correctly, Joyce Franks sent Dee an email privately and
Dee posted it to the list. Why? Joyce Franks had a right to her opinion but,
it never should have been posted to the list. This is between Dee and Joyce
not the list. Why were we caught up in the discussion?
Maybe now we can get on with Duplin County Genealogy.
