A special welcome to Diane who will be taking over the Lenoir and Greene GenWeb sites from Sloan in the near future. As the wand is passed, you will be notified of the details and where to send information in the future. Also, Guy said, he would like to have more photo's of cemeteries for the archives site with a sort bio of the deceased. We owe such a debt of gratitude to Sloan for all she has done over the years that can never be repaid. It is the volunteers like Sloan, Patty, and Guy who make this

Could he have come to Sumner to visit on his way to Ill and married? He and Ann Groves had Granville B., Martin, Jr. and Susan. Any help appreciated. Rose Parks Texas

Paula says this is on Old Dobbers. Odd that it should be there and not on the Greene Archives but Mike Edge is going to take care of that problem. he has a copy and is going to scan and post it on Greene Archives. Sorry for the repeat to the list but don't think the poster is a member. 19. [NCGREENE] St. Mary's Records [1]
Some of you are going to very excited to see the St. Mary's records that are being prepared by Sloan, Guy, and Francis. Received the ones that Francis did last night and noted a number of names some of you are interested in. Francis made the comment that there is no rhyme or reason regarding how the pastors wrote down the information and he is right. As much information as these records contain one wonders why the pastors did not include the name of the infant, or the surname. The same is true of the Christ

23. [NCGREENE] [NCLENOIR] Wiggins, Kilpatrick, Moseley [1]
Rose, I came to the conclusion today after typing up two of the latest Collections that all YOU have to do is just sit around and do nothing until all these Collections are done. At that point, all of your families will be done because it seems that every collection has your families in them. It is just not fair - you really have a lucky star over your head while the rest of us hope for just one small kernal - I am still waiting for mine. Am most jealous. Did study your Wiggins file today - very well done

25. [NCGREENE] Caswell [1]
Susan, I applaud your letter to Hunt. I think that the city fathers of Kinston and Lenoir county need to take the first steps. He was their home town boy, but you are right, NC has sadly neglected Caswell and it is a shame.
