sometime before his 1871 marriage to Mary Jane Parker. They had five
children, which were all married in Macon Co., NC. These five children were:
Nancy Ann Barnes who was married twice, once to Freeman Alexander in 1892,
and second to John Manly in 1896; M. Josephine Barnes (known to many as Aunt
Josie) who married George Rogers and was the moth
Lea,
Mary Elizabeth Hedden (born April 15 1885, died April 8 1932) was the
daughter of Sylvester Blakely Hedden and Jane Elizabeth Bowman. In 1901
she married Manson Milo Barnes (born August 19 1877, died February 23
1958). Both are buried in the Strain Cemetery in Macon County, NC. I have
their 9 children as Jane (Janie), John (Johnnie), George, Mary, William
(Willie), Henry, Ezekiel, Lorenie, and Ruth (Ruthie).
Elizabeth's brother Benjamin Harrison Hedden, Sr. was Randy's grandfather.
