Hi, I am looking for descendents or anyone with information on Allen Barnes and his families. Allen was born and raised in GA, but moved to Clay Co., NC sometime before his 1871 marriage to Mary Jane Parker. They had five children, which were all married in Macon Co., NC. These five children were: Nancy Ann Barnes who was married twice, once to Freeman Alexander in 1892, and second to John Manly in 1896; M. Lea, Mary Elizabeth Hedden (born April 15 1885, died April 8 1932) was the daughter of Sylvester Blakely Hedden and Jane Elizabeth Bowman. In 1901 she married Manson Milo Barnes (born August 19 1877, died February 23 1958). Both are buried in the Strain Cemetery in Macon County, NC. I have their 9 children as Jane (Janie), John (Johnnie), George, Mary, William (Willie), Henry, Ezekiel, Lorenie, and Ruth (Ruthie).
