Searching for any info on my Kennerly family. My grgrgrandfather was Elias
Wesley Kennerly b. 5 Jan. 1826 d. 1 June 1903. He lived in Mecklenburg
County, NC but I am not sure where he came from (what county). I think it
was one of the three below. Rowan, Cabbarrus, or Iredell. I am not sure
which one. He was married twice. First to Rosa Hall in the county where he
came from then to Elizabeth "Betsy" White. He also had children by both

Laura, I noticed that you had Elizabeth married [1] Henry Smith [2] Johnathan Herren. What do you have on these two marriages ? Do you have any of her children ? I am researching Elizabeth & Johnathan and if you have any information on them I sure would appreciate it.

I can trace my direct KNOX line for sure to Matthew Knox (b. Scotland-d.
1800 Mecklenburg Co, NC) through the Robert KNOX/Mary EWART line. I
have this Matthew as brother to John Knox (1708-1758) who married Jean
Gracey and son of William KNOX (supposed to be a descendent from
William, brother of John Knox Reformer). Would like to correspond with
anyone with connections to this line.

your ancestors? I would love to hear anything else you could tell me about
this line.
To whomever is responsible for placing Bethel Presbyterian Church's
cemetery records on-line, thank you very much. I visited the cemetery in
April and located my Whitlow relatives's headstones there, but found it
difficult to read the dates. I was hoping someone had transcribed the
inscriptions but never dreamed they would be posted on the web. Thanks
again for helping those of us who live far from North Carolina.

From here you will find Ludd Cleveland Burgess birth certificate is on file. You can request forms
for a copy of the birth certificate. However, it does not seem to list the name of his father or his
mother. A copy may give you this information. From my recent experience, my birth certificate did
not even list my name and I had to file a form to get my name on the birth certificate so I could
draw social security and medicare.
Good luck.
