There were two Greenberry Silvers. I have one born February 8, 1795. He was
the son of Johann Silver and Nancy Ann Griffith. The other Greenberry Silver
was born in 1860. His father was Thomas Silver and Ellender "Nellie"
McMahan. I hope this helps. Danny McBee.
I have a Henry Grindstaff who married Mary Harrell, Herrell etc. d/o John
and Annah Campbell Herrell. Any connection?

If you received the message you recently posted, it means you are on this
E-mail list.
This list, like many others, isn't very active at times, so you have to be
persistant and patient! Some day, somewhere, when you least expect it, you

I am trying to find information on a Silver family. I would like to bring my
computer up to date.
Who is the mother of Greenbury/Gree B. Silver's children? I went into teh
1880 census and found George W., Alen B., Manassa listed with fenale Malinda age
60 yr.
I understand Greenbury had maybe 3 wives. So I wondered about their mother.
Also in the 1880 census there is a female Delia BOWDITCH with a Mary and
Augusta Bowditch. Is she a daughter or is she just living with them.
I am also trying to

Hello Danny, I recieved your e- mail several days ago and have been anxiously awaiting another regarding MCCLELLAN'S. I have quite a lot of names, dates, etc to share with you. Please e- mail as soon as possible. Every bit of information i recieve adds to our history and gives me more places to search. So much was lost during and after the Civil war that i have to depend on facts from Bibles and oral history. What do you have? I am a direct descendant of MILTON MCCLELLAN, Mitchell Co. N.C. WALELA.
I am looking for information on William G. BUCHANAN & Dove SPARKS.
They had sons:
Donald Bracknell "Brackie" BUCHANAN, b. 4 July 1887, Plumtree, Mitchell Co. N.C.
Luther Carl "Lute" BUCHANAN, b. 5 Sept 1893, Mitchell Co. N.C. 1893.
I had corresponded with Jack English, computer went down & I don't have his e-mail. But date for Dove was off.
Can anyone help with this BUCHANAN?
Are any of the BUCHANAN'S doing the DNA testing?
Linda
Dear Margaret,
I don't generally reply if I don't have any
information, and other listmembers probably
take the same approach. But I believe your
families are well-known families; try posting
again.

Dear Margaret,
I have Greenberry Silver as the father
of Sarah Woody's children, Green B. Woody
and Mary C. Woody. I don't believe he and
Sarah Woody were married. Green B. Woody
married my 2nd-great-grandaunt, and I haven't
done any work on the Silver family directly.
My information comes from the Toe Valley

Have you checked the Silver family page?
