That particular line is not on my side. I am sure you have visited John Croom's site. If there is a connection, I am sure he has it. I was able to find my connection through him. He was very helpful to me. His site is www.johncroom.com in case you haven't been there.
Sorry I don't have this connection.

Thanks for the link Mike! It was new to me and I located some relatives
buried there. There were some really beautiful photos in the photo gallery.

Don't know how old it is but it is a great site, has a Burial Database that
you can search.
Oakdale is the first Rural Cemetery in North Carolina.

I am writing to the Brunswick & New Hanover lists in reference to some family documents that I have found in an old box at my office. No one at my office knows who these documents belong to. The Family Group record is dated 7/22/1999. I believe these belonged to a past employee.
The Family group records start with George E. Knox, 1823 NC - 5/9/1848 Brunswick married to Sarah Ann Brooks & lists 10 children. Joseph John Knox 6/17/1864 - 1932 married to Minnie Irene Drew with 10 children listed. William Wat

I have found two listings so far that I know are in Oakdale and are not
listed. They are in the new section that has level with the ground stones,
none above. I will call the office Monday and see how new the web site is
and how far along they are. Also if we found errors how to correct them.

Diane,
I tried to contact you direct and it bounced back. Let me know what you want me to do and I will help. I have access to Ancestry. This would probably be the easiest for me right now. I'm not getting out to many cemeteries these days, except for Seagate. Let me know what you want me to help with and the format you want it in.

Hi all,
I just wanted to let you know that we have found a home, we are settled and
basically unpacked and I am now ready for your submissions once again.
I have added a cemetery to Pender and there will be more coming soon, a lot
of deeds, cemeteries and other things to the Duplin site, some new
Revolutionary War rosters and info, a lot of new info to the Civil War site,
(which I am still working on), I will also add some documents to add to the
WWII site.
So, let's all get busy and send in s
Hi list,
I think there is a misconception about the NCGenWeb Project and the USGenWeb
Projects being housed on Rootsweb servers and Rootsweb being owned by
Ancestry.
The USGenWeb Projects are a great way for researchers to share information
that will remain forever FREE on the Internet. Rootsweb became involved by
offering us free space to house the separate projects IE: NCGenWeb Project
which in turn houses the separate County Projects IE: Duplin County, Jones
County, New Hanover County, Pasquotank
Hi list,
I was wondering if anyone that has access to Ancestry would be interested in
transcribing the census records so we can place them online. I am going to
finish up the early census records but I would like some help with the
1790-1930 census. Even if you can only do one township, or just a few pages
it would be a great help to get them transcribed and online.
I am also looking for people to transcribe cemeteries. Since I am back in NC
again I will be coming to New Hanover and trying to get some

Hi list,
This list has been awfully quiet lately! Judy and I have been steadily
adding new information for you to the site, so now we need you to jump in
and start adding some as well.
I know it is summertime and you have been out and about enjoying this hot
weather and vacations but we need your help.
I would like to ask each of you to send in at least one thing to add to the
site. It doesn't matter if it is a deed, will, obituary, military record,
just anything to get more information added to th
Suzi,
If no one steps forward to claim the documents and photo I would be

I will post your email address for researchers to contact you if this is
their line.

There are excellent photos generously donated to us that were taken in La

where many of our ancestors came ashore in France.
There will be more photos to follow soon!
