1. [NCNEWHAN] Costine/Costin [1]
I have a Henry Costin/Costine who was in Colleton Co. SC just below Charleston by c 1790. Do you think he could be related to your George Costin? I think that he probably came from maybe New Hanover Co, NC or another area of NC to Colleton Co. with the Lopers. Any clues would help!! Susan -- Susan C. My Willis family came to Southeast Virginia from England, in the Chesapeake Bay area, the same area that the pilgrims first settled. There in the 1740 s, in Isle of Wight County and Nansemond County (now the city of Suffolk) was the place that Joseph Willis father, Agerton Willis, three uncles and one aunt called home. The family had come to America from Devonshire, England. I believe, but I cannot prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt, the English father of these five children was Benjamin Willis, Jr. (b

11. [NCNEWHAN] Surnames: WOODCOCK - ROSS - CREECH - PALMER [1]
I would like to share data with anyone who can assist me in adding to my family database on the listed surnames: These date back to the 1755 time frame. The Woodcock, Creech and Ross families (part of them at least) moved on to SC and then to Bulloch County, GA. What I have to share is at the following web site: http://www.cwoodcock.com it is listed under the name of William Woodcock, Sr. by Edward Breland. Just click on old William's name and you will find the listings for nearly 22,000 indiv

Hi! My name is Angie Coleman and I live in Waycross, GA. My great great grandfather was Arthur D. Moore and he was born in New Hanover Co. around 1800. He moved to Tattnall Co., GA (now Toombs Co.) sometime later, possibly mid to late 1830's after receiving a Georgia land grant for serving in Captain Coursey's militia (?).He married Abigail Coe 9 (b. 1829, daughter of Joseph Coe). I am at a standstill as I can't find anymore information on him or his father. If anyone has any information, I would love to he
