Elizabeth DURBIN married Robert BURNSIDE 14 August 1793 in Orange Co., NC.
Their daughter, Margaret (Peggy), married William SNOW. Does anyone have
any ancestral connections with DURBIN and/or BURNSIDE?

I want all to know that Louise T. Overton is the GREATEST! She has posted
so much data here and on the Nc-Sc- Roots lists that has benefitted so many
people.
Louise apparently has access to records that many of us cannot readily
access and she is so generous in sharing.
So ..... THANK YOU, Louise.

Now that I'm on the verge of completing a book on the descendants of this man,
it's time to try, once again, to find his ancestors.
William E. Faucett (1796-1873) was born in North Carolina and lived in what is
now the Union Ridge section of Alamance County. He married Elizabeth Wallis,
daughter of Miles Wallis and Mary "Polly" Freeman, in 1805. Their marriage
bond was signed by Edward Faustt. He purchased 100 acres of land along the
banks of Jordan's Creek in 1830 from Edward Faucett. William E. Fauce

Hi:
Cane Creek Meeting House was and still is located in Snow Camp, North
Carolina in the southeast corner of Alamance County. When looking at a
map you'll find it by following HWY 87 south from Burlington to the Snow
Camp Road. Follow the Snow Camp Road to Snow Camp. Can't get any easier
than that. :-)
Meeting House Road isn't marked on my atlas, but I've been on it. I
believe it's the short road that actually runs past the area where the
outdoor drama "Sword Of Peace" is located.
Hope this help

There is also mention of his son William who was "murdered

I have been searching for the family of ancestress Mary Lackey for some
time. She was married to Mordecai Moore, b. @1727 in PA, d. 15 Sep 1794 in
Warren Co., GA. They were Quakers and spent much time in Orange Co. before
moving to GA in the Quaker migration there. Their son, my ancestor, was
Alexander Lackey Moore. Now I understand that there was an Alexander Lackey
or Lakey also in Orange Co. about the same time who was the son of another
Alexander Lackey. I suspect that my Mary belongs to this family. Ca
