He lived in Knox and Harlan Co.'s from abt 1810 to 1846 when he died.

Dear all,
I'm looking for further information on the following Dillards. Nicholas
Dillard, Sr and Nicholas, Jr lived in Caroline Co., VA. until 1742. It is
thought that the latter is the Nicholas, Jr who was in Halifax Co., NC in
1761, but that is as yet unconfirmed. A John Dillard of Halifax Co., NC
who was there as early as 1756 had a son named Nicholas. Presumably, John
and Nicholas, Jr were brothers, but it would sure be nice to confirm that!
Can anyone suggest how I might go about pursuing this

Hi Folks,
I just double-checked my sites and they are not in Bertie---they're in
Northampton! I should know better than try to rely on my memory. I flip
back and forth between the two sites so much that I just got them confused.
However, if anyone has this information, the offer still holds and I will be
glad to send the info to the Northampton site, as well.
Please forgive the confusion.

I regret that I sent the first Ingram Avera E-mail to the list. It was
unfinished when it left me for the NCROOTS-L. In fact I did not know that I
has sent it because I was still writing it.
The second Ingram Avera E-mail is the one I meant to send. I put my name on
the one that I finished. Please use the E-mail with my name at the bottom.

Just general FYI. If a URL has a ~ in the name it will show up, many
times, on your URL address line in your browser with a number and a % sign
and a capital letter. For example my home page address looks like this on
the address line:
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/%7Ehaas/
To save the address in your bookmark or favorites simply click on the
address, backspace to the %7E (or whatever shows up) - delete it and add
the ~ and then bookmark it. Saves a lot of hair pulling.
