Denton Community Historical Society will be meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th at the Denton Community Center. The speaker will be Lyle Sittler who will share his experiences growing up in the Martell area. DCHS meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday in the Denton Community Center, 7115 Lancaster Avenue, Denton, NE. All programs are open to the public. A snack is served to all who attend. Have a request from someone who is descended from a relative born in Berks, Lancaster Co, Ne. Supposedly, Ruth Merrill was born in Berks, Feb 9, 1901. She m. Charles Henry Finley, May 1, 1943, at Crete. She is dau of William J. (William John Wellsby Merrill) Merrill and Lillie T. Walker. William is the son of (Rev) Joseph Merrill and Jane Elizabeth Christner. Am not familiar with the town, other than having heard the name. Any help appreciated. Peggy
