1. [NEHall] New things at Hall County [1]
I've added new postcards to the Hall County site. They're located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~nehall/card_index.html. If there are any problems viewing them please let me know. Kaylynn hallcounty@mindspring.com http://www.rootsweb.com/~nehall/
2. [NEHall] Grave Witching [1]
The following site, called "The Claire Witch Project," shows how to "witch" a grave. I've tried to do it but failed miserably. Claire, the lady doing the demo, has worked in several cemeteries locating unknown graves. Maybe I need better witching rods, or more faith in it :) It is interesting! http://www.rootsweb.com/~nedodge/video/demo.htm Kaylynn hallcounty@mindspring.com http://www.rootsweb.com/~nehall/
3. [NEHall] Updates to Hall County [1]
Hi folks... After being off-line for a time I've been busy updating Hall County. I've added lots of new queries and surnames, and thanks to two very kind gals, I've added two new lookup volunteers. Corliss Clay has offered to lookup in the index of the Grand Island Cemetery Fifth Edition Burials Through December 2002. (Used with permission.) Katherine I. Walton has volunteered to do obituary lookups from the Grand Island "Daily" Independent. Our thanks to both ladies for their help! Now, since I was n

Hi, so glad you are back. Looking forward to working on my Bussell families this winter. Do you know when The Grand Island Independent newspaper is going to send out the 150 year History Book???? I ordered mine some time ago, called the paper about a month ago, and they said they would be sending them out soon. I can hardly wait to look for the Bussell-Gilchrist families in this new book. 16. [NEHALL] New Hall County Coordinator [1]
Hi All....... Well, after a sabbatical of about 2 years, I am now back as the Hall County Coordinator. Matt had asked me to be his assistant, but due to his health issues along with his schooling, he had to give Hall up. He did a wonderful job so lets all give him a round of applause. I feel great now and am looking forward to getting back to work on Hall. I've missed you all and it will be nice to "spend time with you again." As a reminder, I have access to all available census years for Hall Count

Thank you so much for the info. I have just now printed out a form to get a copy. It is too bad that I didn't know of this before as I have many pictures that I could have put in of pioneers. Oh well...............sigh. peggy stack kimbell On Sep 30, 2007, at 6:18 PM, Emma Jane Haddorff wrote: > > Hall County is celebrating a 150 years of history. 18. Re: [NEHALL] Albertina Johnson, John Norbeck [1]
Hi Jeanne, John Norbeck had another marriage prior to Albertina. Her name was "Gastgivers" Kristina "Stina" Andersdotter and they married abt. 1878. (She had a brother named "Gastgivers" Anders Andersson but I don't know anything about their parents.) I know of two daughters born into this marriage, both of whom were born in Sweden (in 1879 and 1881.) According to different census records John immigrated either in 1882 or 1884. I have this family in my files because the eldest daughter from John's fir

21. [NEHALL] Albertina Johnson, John Norbeck [1]
The 1900 and 1910 U.S. Census have John Norbeck with his wife Albertina listed in Wood River, Hall, NE. In the 1920 Census they had moved to Delight, Custer, NE and by the 1930 Census John was listed in Callaway, Custer, NE, as widower since Albertina apparently died sometime between 1920and 1930. I would greatly appreciate any information at all concerning these people. Thank you much................Jeanne
