In 1830 Joshua Smith, an Indian, was convicted of a crime in Haddam Connecticut. In 1841, from Wethersfield Ct, he petitioned the state for a pardon. In the petition he mentioned a wife, name not given. Does any one know the names of his parents, wife, siblings, children or Tribe?

Hello, looking for information on mohegan ancesters named Chapel/Chappell. Supposed to be affiliated with CT mohegans, lived in Norwich, Franklin, Lebanon areas? Late19th or early 20th century.
It would be interesting to know if Joshua Smith is in some way related
to/descended from Joshua Hett Smith of Revolutionary War memory.....
Holiday greetings to all, Faith
I found this article on ebay today - for sale no less :-( . Thought it might
be useful to some of you out there researching your family lines. If it
helps anyone, I would love to hear back from you. I am not on all of the servers
anymore, but think of all of you when I am researching.
