Iris, The Genealogy Detective is a Search Program... they
spent over a year getting links and sources most of us never
even knew existed. I personally spent much more than that
on a family History book that was 15 years out of date.....8-(

HI everyone,
I am writing concerning Linda warning about getting the Pretty Park Virus.
Right below my message is a link to a site that will do a free virus scan on
your computer. I have used it many times. Luckily I have not gotten any
since my one and only virus about a year ago. My husband scanned his
computer and it picked up two in his email. Fortunately he had not opened
either one of them. Give it a try. The best part is it is free.

Since the snow is keeping many of us New Englanders close to home
tonight, thought I'd try this brick wall again.

Hi Debbye,
This is the way us "locals" pronounce Tamworth. It is a wonderful town
located in Carroll County, New Hampshire (before 1841 in Strafford
County).
Hope this helps.

If someone were born in "old Cheshire" do you know what county that would be?
It could be a mis print or typo as it reads
Old Cheshire NH which could also stand for New Haven

Gene,
Your message struck a familiar chord with me because I had a relative who
worked for a Hill who made harnesses in New Hampshire. I searched
through my notes and found that Henry Roers (born 1832, brother to my
gggrandmother, born Germany) worked for James E. Hill, a harnessmaker in
Concord, NH. Some Roers family members moved to Franklin, NH, in fact
one died in an auto accident in Franklin in 1928. I wonder if these two
Hills are related. Same type of business... For information on the
business,
