1. [NEWGEN] Gotta go [1]
I'm new to the list (a week or so). I joined to learn more about genealogy, and to try to connect my roots with others. Obviously it won't happen with all the bickering going on. That's too bad. Seems like there are a lot of knowledgable people here. Maybe this internal squabbling will stop. Until then, I'll go elswhere. Jim P. PS If I knew how to get rid of the ads on the bottom of the post, I would have done so. That's one of the reasons I've not posted. Send som

Hi, Beverly would like you to see this Web page: http://chowbang.homepage.com Holy cow! The government is so crazy! I found this website that uses government files to find an actual photograph of ANYBODY. You should see if they have you in the database too! ================================================ Beverly also included this note: You have got to try this. I nearly fell off my chair, I laughed so hard! ================================================ QUESTIONS: * Were hot dogs ever made of
3. [NEWGEN] GREAT NEWS [0.980917]
Hi to all, Since last spring you were praying for Casey a boy of 11 years old with a cancerous tumor at the brain stem. He has finished all the chemotherapy which was extremely hard on him and had the final MRI. NO CANCER EXISTS TODAY. Thank you everyone. Rose
4. Re: [NEWGEN] Older than dirt....... [0.980917]
Wow, these memories have sparked a few of my own - that first kiss, such soft lips, and he had on shaving lotion and smelled soooo good. At a movie at the school. We squeezed in the coat closet where you were supposed to put your boots. Sixth grade. Saw him at our 25th reunion and he looked (and smelled) just the same. Then there were the two boys Richard and Dickie who walked me home from school and then decided to kiss me. I ran so fast, into my house (my mother unfortunately was not home) and under

6. [NEWGEN] Cyndi Howells [0.980917]
Cyndi Howells was the speaker at one of the groups I belong to in the Phoenix, AZ area (AZ Genealogical Computer Interest Group .. AGCIG) for the second year in a row. Everything was new this year and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Make you want to go home and instantly start working on some of the ideas that were picked up at the seminar (even the lunch was good.) For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to hear Cyndi speak, you've really missed out. She makes genealogy "fun," something you'll

In light of the recent thread, thought you all might enjoy this one. I knew about half of them, but I am a tail end "boomer". A fun quiz... Unless you're still in diapers { Under 30 }. Well, I think we still would if we ever got any snow to do it. I have a picture of my youngest son when he was about 16 laying in the snow (no coat on either) to show us how deep it was. That had to have been - well let me see - he turned 35 last month. We, in the western section of Washington especially near the beautiful Puget Sound, don't really get all that much snow. This is one of the pictures that I'm giving to his wife when they come up in May. Our family has only met her once although

13. Re: [NEWGEN] Fw: Gas-Out!! [0.980917]
I do not believe the Great American Gas-Out will be achieve its objectives. Even if a success from the standpoint of participation, it will probably be temporarily counterproductive. This nation's gas prices from the perspective of inflation are actually lower than they were in the 50s through mid-70s. I recall gas being 19 to 32 cents per gal during that time. Gas is so cheap now we're shunning smaller, more efficient cars and instead buying gashog pickups and monster SUVs. Gas companies are shu
