My local library system subscribes to ProQuest and it has the New York
Times Backfile and also the Seattle Times from 1984.
Using the library does not require registration for the Seattle Times and
articles from the New York Times do not cost anything to copy.
Check your local library systems to see what is available. If not
offered, ask if they will subscribe and perhaps they will do so.
