NATIONAL NEWS.
Boston, Mass. June 7- About 3 o'clock this morning a fire broke out in the
boiler room of the Hyde Park Woolen Mill, destroying the larger portion of
the building. The loss is $500,000, on which there is an insurance of
$408,000 in 74 companies. The mills were owned by a joint stock company -
Messrs. LELAND, ALLEN & BATES acting as agents in Trenton. John TARBOX, Hyde
Park, was seriously burned and his back badly

WAYNE
The funeral of Mrs. Michael FOLEY was held at the Catholic church in Ontario
last Friday morning. Deceased was 38 years of age and leaves nine children.
Edwin POUND, a prominent citizen of Ontario, died last Friday. A widow and
one son, Edwin, survive him. The funeral service will be held this afternoon.
The funeral services of Mrs. Caroline S. CARPENTER, of Delhi, N. Y., a former

BURGLARS
They Enter Mr. SEARS' House and Take Considerable Property
Burglars entered the residnece of T.L. SEARS, 1213 Second avenue, some time
during last night and made quite a capture of his personal effects.

Death of A.N. DUNHAM at Canandaigua Under Consideration.
CANANDAIGUA, March 28. - This evening at the trustees' rooms at town
house will be held an inquiry into the death of A.N. Dunham, who fell
from a car on the Northern Central railroad in this place on Monday

Catherine Barbara MERKEL was born in Grosswelr, Baden, Germany, November 29,
1835, and passed away from her earthly home in Postville, Iowa, April 19,
1909, at the age of 73 years, four months, and 20 days; death following a

UNOCCUPIED HOUSE BURNED
The dwelling house of C. R. HASSELL, about one-half mile south of the village
of Springwater, burned early yesterday morning before daylight. The house was
unoccupied at the time but contained a quantity of furniture. The cause of
the fire is unknown at present, but is supposed to be incendiary. There was
no insurance.
