13. [NFLD-ROOTS] Hit a Brickwall-Help! [1]
My husbands great aunt married in the forties and moved to the States. Nobody in the family knows where and she only kept in touch with one sister who is now dead. Some family members think her husband was from the states but no one is sure. How could I find her family in the US if I don't even know which state they are in? I tried the Social Security Death Index for her married and maiden names and found no match to her birthday. There is a chance she is still alive unless she remarried and has a new name.
