Is anyone on the Strafford list researching the surname DOW? I'm particulary interested in a possible marriage between Percey DOW and Charlotte (Heney) FOSTER. The marriage would probably have taken place in Dover, between 1890 and 1910.
These are the names I am researching;
James McDevitt married Josephine Truscott about 1912/13 This is my grandmother and grandfather
William Allen
John Parks who lived in Dover about 1848 and married Ella Leach or Ella Josselyn in 1850.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Do you already have the 1870 census information? There seems to be a
brother, Chas C., living next door.
In 1860 there appears to be a brother, John, living with him in Wakefield.
Do you have that?
Also in 1860 Wakefield...

In 1860 Robert is a farmer. His brother? John is a shoemaker. In 1870 both
Robert and Chas C. work for a shoe manufacturer.
A check of the 1850 census might answer your ques

My database on New Hampshire Families at http://nhfamilies.com has just been
updated.
The new edition adds files on about 3,000 new people, and adds to the data on
several thousand people who were already included. The total number of people
cited is now over 79,000.
The latest additions relate mainly to people connected with the town of
Northwood in Rockingham County.

These are my? Burnhams, as I have them so far. It's a work in progress and
may contain errors. Much of this was given to me by Caroline. I have been
trying to add to what she gave me. I would appreciate any additions and/or
corrections.

I've "rescued" an old letter written by Daniel Y. MASON of Dover, New
Hampshire to his friend Josiah PARSONS in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. The
letter is dated January 12, 1835 and appears to the result of Josiah's
having asked Daniel to determine the well being of Joseph ? and his
children. No clue as to if Joseph is related to either of these men,
however, it does appear that Joseph is without a wife and raising the
children alone.
Based on limited research I do find Daniel Y. MASON married to Mary THOMP
