Parish Church and left for Canada in 1848 with two small sons William Henry
ROBINSON and James ROBINSON. If anyone is searching either of these families
or can give me information on the towns they came from I would like to hear
from you. Thank-you for your time.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Can anybody help me set off in the right direction with regards to tracing my Irish Family.
Owen Grimley, born c1851, son of John.
The family had trouble with the British Landlords over non-payment of rent, someone was killed and now being wanted men the family or part of the family had to flee the country. They changed their name to Grimley and moved to Scotland/England. The name before they changed it was O'Gorman or O'Gormley. I don't know what year all this happened, but it was before 1879 as Owen w

Dear Nancy,
Hope your son's health is better now.
I have a look-up request for County Armagh. My great great grandfather,
David Gregg, was born there in 1812. Nothing more seems to be known
about his family there. He was in Pittsburgh, PA by 1834. With your CD
can you determine concentrations of a name in geographic areas within
the County?
Thanks for whatever you can provide by way of response.

Hugh Nevin

To Mike Reed:
My MCGINN ancestors were from Carnally which is in the civil parish
of Creggan. They apparently came to NY state between 1845 and 1860.
They settled first near Kingston (Ulster County) NY. Later to Yonkers
(Westchester County). The similarity of names is interesting. Could
they be variations of the same root name?

Alex: Thanks for the reply, I am familiar with the memorial in the
church. On my last visit to Ireland in 1998, I attended the service in
the church and was took a picture of the memorial. Unfortunately the
regular minister, Shawn Leland was away. I have a letter written by
Rev. John to his nephew in the states and it was written in 1875, the
year of his death and I figured he possibly could be buried in Lurgan
or in Newtownbulter where the family came from.
I walked several cemeteries including Shankhill,
Today I just received a letter advising me of a relative buried in
Shankill Cemetery, Lurgan.
I have been trying for several years to locate the grave site.
Now that I know it exists, I am hoping that I can find someone who
will take a picture of the stone.
I will gladly pay for this service.
It is quite an impressive stone with an iron railing surrounding it.
The stone is for Reverend John Armstrong, his wife Ellen and daughter
Margaret.

I am looking for my Irish ancestors. The surname I am looking for is
Neilson, first name William. I know that he came from County Armagh to the
U.S. anywhere between 1763-1791. I don't know his wife's name; she died on
the voyage to America. They had five children, all born in County Armagh:
James, Matthew, John, Anna and Margaret. They settled in Beaver County,
Pennsylvania. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate a response.
Thank you!

I have a marriage record for Joseph Black and Jane McBroom married 1851
in Kilmore, Armagh. However, it is hard to decipher the names of the
places these two were born in. It looks as if Joseph was of a place that
looks like 'Mulladiy" and Jane of perhaps 'Drumnaheanohn'.
I would appreciate any help with these names please.
