I just learned that my grandmother's family, the Sharkeys, were originally from Armagh, NIRE. They moved to New Brunswick, Canada and as near as I can tell it was sometime before 1831, when my gggrandfather was born in St John.

Have found Thomas and Elizabeth Picton's marriage, in St. Malachy's Catholic Church Belfast, third quarter 1895.
Elizabeth's maiden name was Curran, and she was born in Keady, Co Armagh, circa 1871. Her parents were Thomas Curran, and Margaret Galey.
