By the time I got to answering someone had already posted the info.
There is a website for Faughanvale Presbyterian Church but it's not all
that helpful. I have written to the minister some time ago but received
no reply. As a minister myself I know how busy clergy can be without
doing free genealogical research.
The Genealogy Centre in Derry has some of the records of the church
computerised and will search them for a fee but I doubt they include
ordination etc.
Marlene and all listers,
Wonder if there might be any connection. My gg-grandmother is a Martha
MCKEOWN, Ireland location unknown. She married an Arthur JOHNSTON. I
guesstimate they married sometime between 1830 and 1849. Had at least
one child (that I know of), Martha Johnston in 1849. Young Martha then
married a William PATTON in Philadelphia, PA, September, 1870.
Lots of holes I haven't plugged, yet.

Each new day is a gift. . . . say thanks and enjoy it!
I have a Nova Scotia census that shows my ancestor was born in Londonderry, Ireland. Would be during the late 1700's.
Wondering if there is a way to determine if this refers to the Town of Londonderry, or the whole county of Londonderry.
Would welcome anyones thoughts on this.
Thanks.

Researching: TERRY (perhaps Tarry or Tarrey)
I note that the Marquis of Waterford was a major landlord in the
mid-1800s in the Tamlaght O'Crilley and Kilrea area of Co. Derry.
Are any account books extant and available?
Land appears to be sublet from the Mercers' Company.

Hi everyone!
Realizing this is a long shot but needing somewhere to begin, I thought I
would throw out what I'm looking for. If this rings a bell with anyone,
please let me know.
Seeking information on Jonathan Robertson (b. 1740 in Coleraine,
Londonderry). Son of William (?). Migrated to America ~1746 and lived in
Northampton Co. NC for at least awhile.
Thanks,
Brenda
Re James 'enquiry, I print here a recent email I sent to the Presbyterian
Church of Ireland about Eglinton, and their reply. Am still trying to get
hold of the email addresses of the two ministers they told me to contact!
If anyone has access to them, please respond! ( When do some overseas
organisations plan to enter the 21st century, I wonder?)

Don't know if there are any extant land records of the Marquis of
Waterford, per se. However, I had some family renting land from the Mercer
Co. just down the road from Tamlaght O'Crilley and Kilrea, in Gorteade. I
found the Mercer Co. land rental records at PRONI. They had the original
ledger books for the period I was researching (1850/60's). Hope that
helps. Good luck in your research.

Hi Frances,
Dont know if this is a long shot but we have been looking for
information on Elizabeth King McMillan who lived at Mcillvennon
outside Coleraine. She did have a brother and sisters who migrated
out to Australia and she followed in 1877. We are searching for their
names also. Did Alexander head for Australia?

My previous note 'as close as they were to Co. Derry, there must have been
relatives there'[, refers to Samuel Wiley, bachelor of Derryvane, Co.,
Donegal, and Sarah Porter, m. 1847, Knowehead Presby., parish of Muff, just
NW of Londonderry 5-10 miles.

Hi Everyone,
Thought I would forward this website address for anyone concerned
about the Foot and Mouth outbreak.

Could SKS look for the passenger Elizabeth King Macmillan, single
female, leaving Ireland approx 1876/7 for Glasgow then Brisbane,
Australia arriving 1877. I've looked up on all the popular links to no
availe. Found the ship she arrived on from Glasgow. Also how would
one go about looking for an infant born on board ship from Glasgow
to Ireland in 1850/55?

families: Or with the Village of Curran, Londonderry.
Marlins from Village of Curran, Londonderry.
Rodgers and Kilpatrick from Curran and surrounding area.
GGgrandparents
Robert Marlin Born l825 married to Mary Rodgers born in l830. Robert is
the son of Henry Marlin and Margaret Kilpatrick..
I think Mary is the daughter of George Rodgers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this posting.

Can anyone furnish the names of current Presbyterian churches, their
clergyman, and their email or snail mail addresses in the city of
Londonderry and also Eglinton, for facilities that replaced original
churches there in the 1700"s or are the original churches? Please email
James0319@aol.com
I have a docket number and description of a deed executed between 1730
and 1810. Where specifically can I obtain a copy of this deed and what
procedure should be used? Will they take credit cards or a US check? Please
email James0319@AOL.COM
Heck!..........Ok I thought that maybe she might have been on one of
the migration listings. I'll try the Londonderry and Dublin parish sites.
She's a mystery. Always claimed she lived outside Coleraine. Might
have been illegitimate hence the none recordings of parents.
