Ballynascreen Parish is in the south of Co. Derry. It includes that piece that
juts out into Tyrone. You will more likely find it under its other spelling,
Ballinascreen, which seems to be more used now. I am looking for Bradleys
there; who are you looking for?

I am researching the names OLIVER and MCNALL. I have a certified copy of a
birth certificate for my grandfather, DAVID OLIVER. It lists the
registration district as AGHADOWEY, COLERAINE, registration date: April 21st
1891. In Column (5) and (8) It lists "ADVERNESS" as the residence/dwelling
place. I have never been unable to determine where or what this dwelling
pace is. I would appreciate any information. I am planning a trip to NI and
would like to visit this place. H. Stevenson in Virginia.

Ok, I've been looking for these people for 40 years with no success. I think
it's time to hire a professional researcher. Does anyone have a suggestion
as to WHO I should contact regarding the following: (I would like an actual
name of a researcher with familiarity with Northern Ireland.)

Hi to all on the list thought you might find this interesting. A friend of
mine sent it to me and I thought even though it's not genealogical you might
still find it amusing.

A friend of mine was married to a Peacock. I think her children have worked
on that side of the family. I will check with her and see if she can
contribute any information. I'm not sure where their Peacocks were from. My
friend lives here in Louisiana near New Orleans.

While at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, I found a typewritten
manuscript which said it contained extracts from the 1831 census for
Londonderry. There was no author given. Although it was only for a few
surnames, one of them was the one I was interested in, JOHNSTON. There was a
family in Tainladuff very similar to the one I am looking for: head John,
wife Margaret, one of the son's named Atkinson. Mine had one named Atchison.
Birth years were within 2 years of what I expected. When I tried to

The 1631 muster roll of the County of London Derry has a number of men
serving under Sir Thomas Phillips, who held quite a bit of property in two
areas that were about 25 miles apart in the county and which included many

A possible ancestor, Patrick ffletcher, appears on this roll under the
category "swords and snaphances," which appears on this list in the New
England Historic Genealogical Register of Oct.1958.
Does anyone have access to any information that yields the townland
