Kathy,
I'm not finding John with his parents, or with Bessie in 1900. But,
according to the 1930 census, John married at age 19, making his year of
marriage approximately 1900. In 1910, John and Bessie were in Cumberland
Co. By 1920 and 1930 they were in Cape May. Let me know if you need
1910-1930.

Thank you, Becky, for searching for Elva and Florence Fairchild. I am doing
some research for a friend, and will be sure to ask her if any of the
relatives the girls were living with sound familiar. Perhaps, you have opened a few
more doors for us. Hope so! Many thanks, again.

Becky,
Many thanks for this - just to show my ignorance, can I ask for
interpretation of a couple of things?
"married twice x 5 mos" does that mean married 5 months ago?
and I am very interested in whether John had any children; was the field
blank in the census?
(John was previously married to my great aunt so I am looking to see whether
she had any descendants)
Regards
Bill

Thanks so much for the generosity of this list and the

outstanding. And I really thank you for it...

Bill,
Julia was John's second marriage and they had only been married 5 mos when
the census was taken. As for children, there was no number of children
listed next to John.
Happy Holidays!
