Excellent suggestion! That would be a boon to those of us who cannot
attend. I thought of that yesterday, but being a peon amongst notables, I
felt it not my place to do so. Thank you.
And I will definitey videotape my next meeting.

signing tour, and several of our presentations were taped one by a high
school student with a simple video camera. Its not at all difficult to do.
While I am on the subject, I also think that local historical societies
should be taping all of their meetings and presentations. We have the
technology, it is inexpensive, and the material covered by l

Go to Google Maps, put the address in the search part, use the satellite
view. Shows all the buildings up close! There's a building on a corner and
a house and you can finagle the arrows and move around and see a lot.

Hi Debby
The address now houses "My Dry Cleaner". If you go to Google Map and
enter that address it will come up and show a street view which shows
the store, etc.

Hi Debby
- as far as I know, no transcript will be available. There is a guide to
GSNJ's collections on the Rutgers' website and additional guides to some of
our collections on our website. Ron Becker's talk, however, is new and I
don't know what he's going to cover. Maybe some of the attendees will be
able to provide some feedback afterwards on what he discusses. If there is
a handout - we can see if it can be made available in some form.
Regards
Joan

While this sounds like a good idea, you need to keep in mind that one needs to have the written permission of the speaker(s) before taping, either video or audio. Most speakers, especially professional speakers, do not allow unauthorized recording.
