Fellow Researchers,
I have just about completed my search for records for the decendents of
Caspar Mabie, and one of the few remaining puzzles has to do with Susanna
Mabie who married Cornelius Cornelius Smith (AKA Cornelius Smith Jr.) before
1775.
I have found the following baptism records for children of this couple.

Hi,
I wrote to the newly reorganized cemetery association about Andreas
Waldmann's plot... more than a month ago I was told no one was buried under
the "Waldman" name... and was asked to provide proof that my relatives were
buried there!!!!!!
I do not know if spelling it correctly with two "n's"... Waldmann would
help-maybe search was on a computer???
The Carlstadt Historical Society had done the research.
I wrote the secretary of the Cemetery association and asked if the grave

That Indian Village apparently was originally a movie prop which was
kept intact for a time after the movie was finished. (The following

Mary,
Are you requesting the passenger lists or the naturalization
papers?
The passenger lists can be located at NARA (if you want them to
search, they charge a fee), at the LDS Family History Centers, and
by interlibrary loan (via AGLL).
The naturalization papers for a naturalization occurring in 1910 are
available from the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
I suggest that you look at Section 8.0 of my Research Guide to
Immigration and Ships Passenger Lists at:

While the copyright law that deals with vital records (including church,
cemetery, etc.) is fairly straight forward, it's my understanding that the
law as it relates to indexes is less clear cut. For example, is a new
"everyname" index that was compiled long after the original publication of
the textual material copyrighted?

Addressing only the geography question, Pompton Twp. formed in 1797 became
part of Passaic Co. in 1837 and was slowly broken up into smaller units
including, fnally in 1918, the boroughs of Bloomingdale, Ringwood, Wanaque,
and Pompton Lakes.

The Old South Church cemetery is about the only cemetery in Bergenfield that
I know of. It's quite old and very historic, but I don't believe they are
still accepting burials there. In any case, there are numerous newer
cemeteries in the area that are far more likely burial spots for your 1950's
ancestors. You'd be better off narrowing the field by getting a copy of a
death certificate (you can search 3 years 1952-4) or obit on which the
funeral home/cemetery would be listed.
