Do you have any research on the James Robinson family that lived in New Jersey
(Bordentown, Trenton, Jersey City & Passaic) and New York (Brooklyn) in the
1800s? James was a blacksmith in Trenton, NJ in 1860. He died before 1871
(possibly in Brooklyn) when his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ward Robinson, married
Thomas Brereton, a train engineer. The family lived in Jersey City, then
Passaic. Who were James' parents, and did they come from England or Scotland?
Can anyone help with information on these New Jersey-Ne

Hence, meaning is something like "Preservation Society," probably to

Hello, Hudson County List!
I am new to this list and was hoping learn a little bit about my
ancestors who lived in Bergen County. I have recently learned that
my great-grandmother Nora(h) Kenney/Kenny KOCH died c. 1937 in the
Palace Movie Theater in Bergenfield (Bergen) NJ. (Nora(h) was born
in Ireland, but I don't know when or where or who her parents were
yet.)The family could have also lived in Hudson County, NJ, as my
mother (Nora's granddaughter) was born in Tenafly.

Hi All,
I have the following from a street directory. James Crawford was my
gggrandfather. Can anyone tell me anything about Knight and Crawford
about 1870? It must have been some kind of a business.
James Crawford living at South 7th St. (Knight & Crawford).
Any help would be appreciated.

I've checked it out and almost all that you can use, is under membership of
over $50 a year. What good is that?
Couldn't check that census index without joining!
Joan
Hi All,
If you haven't checked the Ancestry site in a while, now is the time to
do it!
They have a new Census Index that allows you to put in a state and then
a name
and then gives you all instances of that name, roll number, and page
number in
the census. Check it out!

Sue in TN

Hi List,
I'm looking for some information on a Dan McNulty who was a mortician in JC
during the 1940's -1960's. Kenneth French has just published a book of his
photographs but I believe he is a relative. Would anyone know where his
funeral home was located or if anyone in the family still resides in JC?
Thank you for all information.
